CNET’s Sept. 30 deal report lists discounts on three smart-home products ahead of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days: a Kasa outdoor smart plug for $20, a Ring Floodlight Cam 2K for $100 and a four-pack of Linkind Matter bulbs for $67. The listed savings range from about 23% to 50% off stated regular prices, but availability and prices may change.
Amazon was listing discounts on three smart-home products ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, according to a CNET deal report published Sept. 30. The featured offers were a Kasa outdoor smart plug for $20, a Ring Floodlight Cam 2K for $100 and a four-pack of Linkind Matter smart bulbs for $67, with stated discounts of roughly 23%, 50% and 40%, respectively.
The Kasa Apple HomeKit Outdoor Smart Plug was listed at $20, down from $26. CNET described the plug as weather-resistant, with an IP64 rating, a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection and app controls for scheduling and remote operation. The report said the price was about $3 above the product’s all-time low. It also cited CNET experts’ selection of the plug as their best overall smart plug of 2026; that is an editorial assessment, not a product certification.
The Ring Floodlight Cam 2K was listed for $100, compared with a stated regular price of $200. CNET described it as a wired outdoor camera with 2K video, motion-activated LED floodlights, color night vision, a 140-degree field of view and two-way audio. The report also noted Alexa integration. Because the camera is wired, it does not rely on a battery that needs periodic charging or replacement, but installation requirements depend on the home and existing wiring.
The third offer was a four-pack of Linkind Matter smart bulbs for $67, down from a stated total regular price of $112. CNET said the bulbs support adjustable white light and RGB color, with control through a phone or voice assistant. At the listed bundle price, each bulb works out to just under $17. The report framed the products as early discounts available before Prime Big Deal Days, rather than saying the prices would continue through the event.
Three Smart-Home Discounts to Compare
The offers cover three different home uses: outdoor power control, exterior security and indoor lighting. For shoppers already planning to add smart-home devices, the discounts may lower the initial cost of products that can be controlled through apps or voice assistants. The Matter label on the bulbs may also matter to buyers comparing smart-home platforms, while the Kasa plug listing specifically identifies Apple HomeKit support.
The camera discount is the largest stated reduction in dollar terms and percentage terms, but a lower price alone does not establish that it is the right choice for every home. Buyers should compare the features and installation needs with their setup, and check the live Amazon listing for the current price, compatibility details and any additional conditions. The source does not provide evidence about long-term performance or independently verified savings on electricity bills.

Early Offers Before Prime Big Deal Days
CNET’s report appeared on Sept. 30, 2026, and described the three product prices as deals available that day. It presented them as early offers with Prime Big Deal Days approaching. The report did not provide the event’s exact dates, nor does the supplied material establish whether Amazon itself had announced these specific discounts as part of the event.
CNET said its deals coverage tracks prices on Amazon and selects offers for readers. That makes the reported prices useful as a snapshot, but not a guarantee of future availability. Retail prices, stock and promotional terms can change, and the listed original prices are the comparison prices given in the report.

Prices and Stock May Change
The supplied report is a Sept. 30 price snapshot. It does not confirm whether any of the three offers remain live, how much stock is available, or whether prices differ by seller, location or account. The stated discounts use the report’s listed regular prices; the source does not provide a full price-history record for each item.
The report also does not specify the exact Prime Big Deal Days schedule or confirm that these offers will return during the event. For the Ring camera, it does not detail installation costs, subscription requirements or all compatibility limits. Shoppers should review the product page and terms before purchasing rather than treating the listed features or savings as a guarantee of suitability.

Check Listings Before Buying
Readers interested in the products should check their current Amazon listings for price, seller, stock, delivery terms and compatibility before placing an order. Those considering the wired Ring camera should also confirm that their intended installation location can support it and review any applicable installation requirements.
Further developments depend on Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days schedule and whether these or other offers remain available. The source material does not state when the prices will expire, so no end date can be confirmed from CNET’s report.
